It is good that, despite all the variableness of life, there is One who cannot change. One whose heart can never alter, and on whose brow uncertainty can make no furrows.

Everything else has changed. All things are changing. The sun itself dims with age; the world is growing old; the folding up of the worn-out clothing has commenced. The heavens and earth must soon pass away. They will perish, growing old like a garment. But there is One who only has immortality, of whose years there is no end, and in whose person there is no change. The delight which the sailor feels when he steps upon the solid shore after having been tossed about for many a day, is the satisfaction of a Christian when amidst all the changes of this life, he rests the foot of his faith upon this truth “I the LORD do not change.”

The anchor gives a ship its stability. Likewise, the Christian’s hope gives him stability when he fixes on the glorious truth that with God, “who does not change like shifting shadows.” (James 1:17) Whatever His attributes were yesterday, they remain today: His power, His wisdom, His justice, and His truth, are all unchanged. He has always been the refuge of His people, their stronghold in their day of trouble, and He is still their reliable Helper.

He is unchanging in His love. He has loved His people with an everlasting love and He loves us now as much as ever He did. When all earthly things shall have melted away, His love will still wear the dew of its youth. Precious is the assurance that He never changes! The wheel of providence turns, but its axle is eternal love.

WARNING: This Video Is Very Disturbing & Maybe Upsetting To Some Viewers

What is this world coming to? Why do people feel so determined to hate, or dislike someone else? Why do people feel the need to walk past someone in need of help?

I've asked myself this question many time without any logical answer that comes to mind. I guess I'm just dumb to the fact that this world is just like that, or are there people that actually have a heart and care.

I heard a store today on the news that really made me shake my head in disgust.
In China a toddler was standing in the street, for what ever reason I am not sure. Nevertheless, a person was driving a van towards her and stopped for a second and then proceeded to drive hitting the toddler, running over her. A few minutes later another car drove over her. During this time a total of eight people pasted this child while she lay on the street, yet no one stopped helped her. The ninth person saw this child and stopped and called for help.

Why? How does it take eight people to pass a dieing child on a street and do nothing to help. What do we call those people? Heartless, evil, sick? I don't know, but you can be the judge of that and call them what you want. Nevertheless, I hold them just as responsible as the people that drove those cars over that child. they could have helped but did nothing, they just walked past as if nothing was wrong.

Finally a person stopped to help...praise God for that person.

This world is falling fast, even if you don't want to believe it. Yet there is hope in knowing that God is on your side. He is always there no matter what horrible thing is happening, He is there to help you through. Yes, at times it may look as if He is not there, but don't give up, keep the faith and believe.

I refuse to be discouraged, to be sad, or to cry;

Death is a sad part of the world we live in. It is a reality that keeps us in check with the knowledge that we are not promised tomorrow.

As of now I am sure many of you have already heard the shocking announcement today of Steve Jobs passing. This world has indeed lost a great leader and innovator. I would like to take the opportunity to send my thoughts of hope to his family as they go through this moment in their lives.

One of the greatest gifts God has given you and your family is the ability to storage memories, enabling you to hold on to all the wonderful and precious moments of your lives together. With this gift you will know that your love one will never be forgotten and he will always stay forever close to you no matter where you may be.

This quote was brought to my attention and when I fully read it I was very moved. As I am sure each of you will agree with me that this quote is very true. You can only be the judge of your own life and answer the question, what is important to you? Nevertheless, I am very sure we all can agree that we all are guilty of this quote at some point and time in our life, which means a change needs to happen.

Yet there are many that will disagree with this quote. Well, all I say to them is open your eyes and look closely at the world around you.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, he said:

“Man.

Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.
Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health.
And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present;
the result being that he does not live in the present or the future;
he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”

Today I woke up excited. Excited because I was getting a part of the dash board in my car replaced. I was also excited because I was getting my stereo replaced as well. It was a long time coming....hummm, I would say about three months now that with out a stereo in my car and part of my dash board missing.

When it happened I was upset at first, and then I wanted to get mad but I said to myself it was not worth it. After all it is just a material thing and it eventually could be replaced. I remember it was about 10am on a Friday morning when I walked out to my car which was parked in the parking lot of my building. The sun was shining and the warmth of the breezes was comforting. I was happy that it was going to be a nice day even though the forecasters said that it would rain. I said out loud, what do they know, and they caught myself speaking out loud to myself. I looked around but there was no one there. I would have to pull something off quick to defend myself for talking out so loud to myself. I felt so stupid for a minute but I just shook my head and laughed. After all many other people talk to themselves...right?

I continued walking to my car and from afar it looked like my window was rolled down. I thought to myself, I did not leave my window down the night before when I parked my car. I questioned myself for a few minutes and then concluded, no I did not leave my window down. As I got closer, I realized that my driver side window was broken. I just shook my head and said why....are you serious. And then I looked at where my stereo was and it was gone. The thing is they didn't only take my stereo, they broke everything around the stereo to.

I wanted to get so upset and mad, but I had to keep it together. After all this stereo was not just any stereo it was a 7 inch Flat Screen HD Color Dvd Pioneer system. Ya, I know. It was gone. I called the police to report it stolen and then I called my beautiful wife to be. Even then I did not get mad, I was just sad and disappointed. Yet through all of this there was a feeling of peace that was over me. What I mean to say is that I could have shouted and said every bad word in the book to express how I was feel at that moment, but I felt the opposite. While I was talking to my girl I said to her, I'm gonna pray for the person or persons who broke into my car and stole my system. As I was saying that I started to laugh. She was like...what? I said, there was a cd left in the system, a Canton Jones album called Kingdom Business Part 2. So in my prayer I ask God to allow the people responsible for my car to hear this cd and allow it to change their lives some how.

Well, that is over and done and now I have music again, but no Canton Jones cd....lol. It's all good. God has been good to me and my family. All I can say is praise Him for all the wonderful things He has and continuing to do.

Just remember, no matter what situation you are going through, God is there and He is only a conversation away. Don't let the material things of this world keep you away from what is really important. Like that stereo...it was replaceable.

On September 10th 2011 I had the opportunity of attending the African Entertainment Awards show. I also had the opportunity to preform alongside friend and fellow gospel artist Spoken.

This award show was put together to award the many men and women throughout the different communities of Toronto that have worked hard to make a difference in their city.

When it came time to take the stage Spoken and I were ready to not only entertain our audience, but also give glory to God through our music. Who is Spoken? Spoken is a gospel Hip Hop artist. This past summer (2011) Spoken released his album titled "Bright Days Dark Nights" which is available in iTunes. I had the pleasure of being asked to be part of Spoken's album and be a feature on his single track "Home". This was the song that we preformed at this Award show and, wow....was it nice. The sound system was on point and the feeling was incredible just being on stage praising God.

Real music is more than what you hear, but what you feel when you hear it. That is a saying that was spoken to me by a good friend on mine may years ago. Such a true statement packed with some much power. Talking about power, music has so much power that it can make you move even if you don't feel like moving or even sing a song you didn't like.

Have you even listen to a song and at first you didn't like it all. Now think about it again, how many time did you catch yourself singing that song in your head. Funny right? Earlier that day, week or maybe even that month, you didn't like that song. Now you're singing that song and somehow can't get it out of your head. It's stuck there until another song comes along and the whole process is started all over again.

So now can you see why I say music has so much power over people. This is why music is a huge way of influencing people and getting them to feel a certain way, act a certain way, and even react a certain way. It's a very powerful tool used to make people shop more, or dance more, and even relax more.

An Eye Opener - Thought Provoking

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, "If I could only see the world, I will marry you." One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend. He asked her, "Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?" The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them for the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.. Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: "Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine."

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes. Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Life Is a Gift... Before you say an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion.

Before you complain about life - Think of someone who has lost a love one.

Before whining about the distance you drive - Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

When you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and think...you're alive and God has blessed you to see another day. Use that day to extend a positive word or action to someone.

I just wanted to let my fans know how blessed I feel at this moment. The great news is that I recently got engaged to a beautiful women that has been by my side through thick and thin. She is amazing in so many ways and truly is a blessing in my life. I thank God for her everyday.

I empower all the young men to stand up and be the best that you can be to your woman. It's important to love her, respect her, be gentle with her, treat her as you would like to be treated. In return, she will treat you with all the love she has for you.

Always remember to communicate with your girl, stand by her, compliment her, understand her, focus on the little things that mean more to her, remember all the beautiful moments that brought both of you together, and always keep God the center of both of your lives.

I want to send a message out to all those people all over the world that have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Right now there are many people being killed for their belief in the name of Jesus Christ. Many are being jailed for reading the bible. Many are being kicked out of schools, work and other places for living a life that is honorable to the God.

We all need to stand up and pray for them. Their are reasons for all of this no matter what anyone may say. There are those that want God name denounced, why? Do they feel threatened? My question is, if someone does not believe in something, why should it bother them if a particular person believes something other than what they believe? My feelings are, if people are going to kick up against something, that means they must be threatened by it in some way or another, right? So let's look at all of this and relate it to God's word. You make up your mind and think hard about it.

A few weeks ago I went the Mississauga Seventh-Day Church to fellowship. That particular day it happened to be a very blessed day. There were four individuals giving their lives to the Lord through baptism. It was a beautiful sight to see young and old dedicating themselves to do God's work for the rest of their lives.

Watching the minister dip them into the water and bringing them up with a huge smalls on their faces. As I looked on I felt so happy for them, because I knew the decision they made and what it met to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

In the congregation the regular members looked on as friends and family of those baptized were up on their feet crying, hugs each other and taking pictures for memories of such a wonderful day.

As the bible explains the meaning of baptism....a watery grave. It is a representation of letting go of one's life and taking on a new one. In other words dieing to one type life you lived and accepting to take on another life and live different for the Lord. Many of us have different signs that represent different things we do, as is baptism is a sign that separates those that have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It is an outward sign that is between an individual and God.

On December 19th 2010, I was invited to perform at The All Nation Gospel Church for their Christmas Carols Night presented by A.N.Y. Tales (All Nations Youth Tales). The night was very enjoyable and filled with lots of excitement from the many different artists who performed and the A.N.Y Tales presentation.

Just to give you a overview: There were about 300 people that were in attendance that night. The main act for that night was the A.N.Y Tales team who presented a wonderful play. The theme of the play was directed around the Christmas season and forgiveness.

There were about 8 different acts including a childrens dance group, a childrens choir, a Nigerian choir, an adult and youth choir and solo acts. The performances took place between the scenes of the play.

The song I sung was one of my newest tracks Poetry In Motion. The response from the audience was amazing. My prayer is that someone felt blessed by the words of the song.

I will like to thank All Nation Gospel Church and A.N.Y. Tales for inviting me to be part of such a wonderful evening.

Three weeks ago I spoke about a photo shoot that I was invited to by a fellow gospel rap artist Scripture. This photo shoot was setup as part of Scripture's up and coming album release. Along with myself there were a few other artists who were in attendance at this photo shoot.

The photo shoot was well organized and the photographer (Philip Sportel) definitely knew what he was doing behind the camera. I was online and saw this picture to the left. While looking at it I realized how many people feel that they are alone in this world and there in no one around that sees, hears, or is there to help them when they are in need. As the writing on the left states, there's light even in the darkest places. Amen to that, in a literal and spiritual sense.

Look at it this way, God is there even though you can't see him or even though we may think He isn't around. Think of a dark night and the clouds are so thick that it's impossible to see the stars or the moon. Though we can't see the stars or the moon due to the thick clouds, do we freak out? Do we wonder if it's still there? No, we don't because we know that they are both still there, it's just over cast that is blocking the view to see them.

It's the same way with us and our Lord and Savior. There are many times we have some over cast in between us and our heavenly father and it takes that extra amount of faith to believe that we are not on our own in this world.

No matter the situation, whether it be money problems, family problems, boyfriend problems, children problems, school problem, car problems, and or faith problems, God is always there to help. He is that light that is always shining in the darkness. He is the light of the world.

Since Nigel Woodz made his leave from singing secular music, he has been on a mission to create a foundation within the gospel music scene. Some of his first songs released as a gospel artist include Trying To Say, Poetry In Motion, and Answer The Door featuring gospel rapper and spoken word artist Neva Hurd.

Nigel Woodz has commenced working on his newest project with plans to release his EP in 2011, however, an official date has yet to be confirmed. As to the title of his new project, he has decided to keep it under wraps at the current moment. Nevertheless, he states that this new project will be one of great power, blessing and straight from the heart.

On Sunday Oct. 31st 2010 I worshiped at The Master's House Bible Fellowship Assembly located in Scarborough Ontario, Canada. I was invited to be part a special service honoring Pastor Smalling, for his 15 years in service for the Lord and Pastor of The Master's House Bible Fellowship.

I was invited to lead out the praise and worship hour which commenced the main worship service. There was a special speaker which ministered the word about leadership. After the main service I again had the opportunity to sing two solo songs. I also took the opportunity to tell the congregation a little about me and share my testimony.

Nigel Woodz and Scripture Photo Shoot

A few days ago I attended a photo shoot along with another Christian Rapper and friend Scripture. The shoot was very well organized and structured, as a photo shoot should be. I was very impressed with the photographers detail to his art and his professionalism when working with us. He even had a make-up artist available....now what.

When the session was complete we all had the opportunity to view the photos and see how they turned out. They were amazing. The shoots were so clear and the light work was the best I've even seen. I was talking to Scripture after and said, "Phil (the photographer) definitely knows what he is doing behind the camera".

Scripture is in the process of getting his up and coming album complete. Some of these photos that were taken at this photo shoot will be used for different parts of the album. Scripture and I also collaborated on one of his track which is still in the studio being prepped for the album. I've been told by Scriptures himself that the track sound NICE. Yes, i have not heard it yet but will soon.

At this time I don't have any of the photos just yet. Scripture and his team are screening them to see which ones will be used for the album. You know, can't leak the photo out before the album is released. But I'll have some available to show you all very soon.

"Trying To Say" what does it mean? Many of times people ask the question, where is God through out the many different experiences I go through? The answer is, He is right there with you. In so many different ways God is always trying to talk to us and guide us through life. Also many of times we choose our own way which many of times leads us into trouble. There are numerous lessons given to us that conveyors God's love, and through these lessons He is speaking to us. So hence the title "Trying To Say".

Along with a message, I love the joyful feel that I get when I listen to this song. The beat, the words, and all of the aspects that brought this song together makes me excited for the blessings that God has in store for all of us. When I listen to this song a smile comes over my face and I just have to stop and listen.

As poetry has a remarkable way of capturing attention because of it's expressive structure, so does the word of God. God's word is full of passion, truth, empowerment, and motion.

God's word calls all of us into action and He has given us one of the most beautiful gifts known to man....LIFE. When sin became aware to the human race God could have wiped away everything He created and started all over. After all Adam and Eve decided to do there own thing and not listen and obey some simple instructions set by God. Nevertheless, God did not wipe away what he created and instead created a plan to get the human race back to perfection. This plan is the Plan of Salvation which was set to help the human race see sin for what it is and look to a better way....the creator.

Poetry in motion is a song written to help all of us look to God more and for us to realize that we can not live our lives without Him. This is a song giving acknowledgment that God is real and giving Him all the praise and glory for the many blessing and opportunities He has provided for us.

Please listen to the song and take in the words. If you have not allowed God into your life think about it. As you can see the way this world is going, it's clearly not getting better. So I am offering you a better way to live your life rather than living in fear.

The Chocolate Strawberry

A few nights ago I attended an event organized by a good friend of mine – Malcolm aka Church Boy of Church Boy Productions. This event was held at the Malvern Methodist Church in Scarborough. I was very impressed to see many of the community young people supported Church Boy Productions. This event was divided into two topics, (1.Valentines Day & 2. Black History) which was very well organized. There were little hearts all around the hall and also a back drop with a heart background for people to take individual and group photos. What really made me give Malcolm two thumbs up for this event was when he had a king and queen selection for the best dressed at the end of the night. It really made the night a memorable and enjoyable one being in a happy and fun environment.

At the event there were about six artists that performed throughout the course of the evening, N.I.F.T.Y, Lorraine Lord, Boogie B, Young Saints, Neva Hurd and me (Nigel Woodz). I can only say you should have been there to take it all in for yourself, because words can’t describe what an amazing time I had. It’s a great feeling being around friends, fellow artists, and young people that love the Lord.
It seems like this event may become a yearly event judging by the turn out and some comments from the organizer, “thank you for attending the chocolate strawberry 2010, and we look forward to seeing you next one”. For sure if there will be another event like this one in 2011 I will be there.

Well done Church Boy, I can’t wait for what is to come in the future from Church Boy Productions.
